What to know first

FEAR OF FAITH Patch 0.05.007 adds an FOV range of 80 to 110, separate first-person arm rendering, a Ghoul pelvis censorship option, and a Space-key spectator view switch. Third-person spectating has no camera shake. Patch 0.05.005 also supports reassigning spell keys and disabling beer screen shake. Choose settings for comfort and clarity, not invented performance claims.

FOV can be adjusted from 80 to 110

Patch 0.05.007 publishes the exact field-of-view range: 80 through 110. It also identifies the previous default as 90. The range gives players room to choose a comfortable view for their display, distance, and motion sensitivity. The announcement does not publish a frame-rate comparison or prescribe one value for combat, exploration, or a particular monitor.

Change FOV inside the game's supported control and evaluate readability, motion comfort, and the visibility of nearby interactions. A wider view is not automatically correct for every player, and the previous default is not a competitive requirement. If a later patch changes the range or default, the latest official note should replace this build-specific reference.

First-person arms now render separately

The same patch changes first-person rendering so character arms are rendered separately, reducing cases where they clip through close walls. This is an engine-side presentation change rather than a user-facing quality preset. Players should judge the current result after updating instead of using old footage to diagnose wall clipping in the new build.

The patch also updates character level-of-detail assets for performance, but it does not publish benchmark results or a complete graphics tuning table. The system-requirements page contains the verified hardware requirements. The AMD crash page covers the separate temporary status of FSR Frame Generation and confirms that standard FSR remains available.

Spell keybinds can be reassigned

Patch 0.05.005 adds reassignable spell keys. Use the live controls menu to map them around the actions and hardware you actually use. The official note confirms reassignment but does not publish a complete keyboard layout, controller matrix, conflict policy, or per-class control scheme, so this guide does not invent one.

After changing a key, test it in a safe context and confirm the interface displays the expected binding. Failed spell casts gained clearer notifications in the same patch, which can help distinguish an input problem from a spell that misses, has no effect, or references an item that no longer exists.

Beer screen shake and spectator camera behavior

Patch 0.05.005 adds a switch that can disable screen shake from beer. This is a narrow comfort option tied to that effect. Patch 0.05.007 separately states that the third-person spectator camera has no camera shake. The two facts apply to different contexts and should not be combined into a claim that every camera effect can be removed.

Spectators can switch between first-person and third-person perspectives by pressing Space. Choose the view that makes the current room and squad state easier to follow. The announcement names the key and the third-person shake behavior, but it does not document camera distance, collision rules, controller alternatives, or competitive advantages.

Optional Ghoul pelvis censorship

Patch 0.05.007 adds an option in General Settings to censor the Ghoul pelvis. The developer presents it for streamers and content creators who want to prevent unwanted exposure. It is optional and does not change the evidence-supported Ghoul behavior documented in the enemy guide.

Use the current menu label and preview the result before recording or streaming. The setting does not justify claims about every mature-content element, platform policy, or audience requirement. Steam's mature-content description still covers monsters, guns, traps, dark locations, corpses, alcohol, and a dystopian world, so creators should review the full live presentation for their own context.

Keep every setting tied to the installed build

Patch 0.05.007 temporarily disables FSR Frame Generation after resolving its critical launch crash. Standard FSR remains available, and the developer says there is no need to delete the settings save file. If a graphics option differs from older screenshots, confirm the build and the patch status before treating the difference as a defect.

Early Access controls can change as performance, accessibility, and interface work continues. Record the installed version when sharing a configuration or reporting a problem. This page covers only the published FOV, keybind, beer shake, censorship, spectator, and rendering changes. It does not claim measured frame rates or a universal configuration.
